This was a pretty good introduction story for me to this author. I'm definitely recommending this audiobook. Take Me to the River is a wonderfully written story I enjoyed the plot, cast, and narration.

They emulated the characters' personalities and emotions flawlessly, breathing life into the story. Krys Janae and Javi Wilder did an outstanding job with the narration. The connection between them was electrifying, and the attraction was undeniable. Axel is a lonely man, living in isolation, building a solitary life for himself, and believing remaining alone is his fate. She is then found and rescued by a large and ruggedly attractive mountain man, Axel. It was simply wonderful! Thanks to her cheating boyfriend, Emelie is lost in the woods.

The story is wonderfully written and plotted it's engaging, entertaining, heartfelt, and steamy. Take Me to the River was a fantastic listen. Who says you can't judge a book by its cover? Initially, the cover drew me to this book, and it turned out to be fabulous. If you love steamy romances with hot love scenes, mountains, rivers, and mountain men, then this one is for you. As always, there is a satisfying happily ever after. This is a steamy, gentle giant, mountain man romance. When her ex-boyfriend shows up at my door, can I convince her to stay?Ĭan I ask her to give up a life in town for one out here in the mountains with me? I like her in my bed.Īfter years of living alone, I find little appeal in it anymore. I like showing her what I do, and how I survive out here. When the storm washes out the only road into town and she is stranded with me a while longer, I am grateful for more time with her. I’ve lived alone for years, and I’ve been okay with that-until one day she finds me bathing at the river. Only he’s nothing like I thought he’d be. Several days of rain wash out the road and it looks like I’m stuck here with my giant. With a storm rolling in, I don’t have much choice but to trust him and take shelter in his cabin, since I’ve been walking for hours away from town. So, I start walking to town, only I get turned around and end up at the river, where I meet Axel. One fight-okay, a big fight-because I found out he was cheating on me while we were camping, and poof! He left me in the woods. Who leaves their girlfriend in the woods after a fight? What's a girl to do when she finds a sexy giant bathing in the river?
